Early concepts like "Money and Time" evolved into applying measurement to real-world scenarios in later years, fostering a sense of mathematics as a valuable skill. Diverse forms of representation complement this practical approach—from number lines to data tables—that deepens students' understanding and flexibility in interpreting mathematical ideas.

Problem-solving and reasoning are embedded throughout the curriculum, developing critical thinking skills as students learn to tackle increasingly complex problems. By Year 4 and Year 5, they engage with sophisticated challenges involving fractions, decimals, and multi-step calculations.
