Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSHE)
At Phoenix Academy, the Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSHE) curriculum aims to nurture confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals who are well-prepared to face life's social and emotional aspects. By embedding the curriculum across all aspects of school life, we ensure that children learn to manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and develop a sense of self-worth. Our approach to PSHE is holistic, supporting students in their journey to becoming emotionally intelligent and socially responsible members of society.
Phoenix Academy strongly emphasises mental health and wellbeing, helping children understand how their daily choices affect their overall wellbeing. Our curriculum fosters a deep sense of empathy and respect for diversity, encouraging children to celebrate differences and inclusivity while also equipping them with the resilience to handle challenges. Through carefully structured lessons and activities, students learn to navigate friendships, manage conflicts, and contribute positively to their school and community.
Aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) objectives, Phoenix Academy prioritises self-regulation, independence, and cooperative behaviours in its early years provision, setting the stage for lifelong personal and social growth. We aim to empower every child to thrive emotionally and socially in a diverse and evolving world.
